The alarm went off at 0600. We were on the move again. Neither Jorge nor I wanted to get out of bed, for some reason neither one of us had a good night's sleep - guess it was too much walking yesterday! We could have stayed in St. Augustine, it was such a pretty city with so much history but the south was calling us.

We weighed anchor and were underway by 0700 along with about 10 other sailboats from the St. Augustine mooring field. I'm glad to know we were not the last straggler heading south. We had met a few of the cruisers from as far back as Sandy Hook (the New York City area). It was a good travel day - no groundings! And no waiting for bridges to open. The current was with us a good part of the day and we covered the 50+ sm in about 7.5 hours, setting anchor at 1530. Most of the boats leaving St. Augustine this morning anchored just south of Memorial Bridge in Daytona so I imagine tomorrow morning will be a repeat of this morning and I imagine the next anchorage will be Titusville.

Jorge took advantage of the heavy dew on the boat this morning to mop down the deck while I was at the helm. Weather-wise the day started out good and continued so. When we got to Daytona we had some clouds but mostly it was sunny and 25C, I love it! Back to T-shirts and shorts.

House along the ICW just before Daytona.

Ditto.

Captain Jorge - Memorial Bridge, Daytona, in the background.

And no, that is not a baseball cap Jorge is wearing, it is a tennis visor!

Anchorage in Daytona, all boats left St. Augustine this morning.

Sunset over Daytona, Florida.

We had an early supper and were off to bed early. Another early morning tomorrow. (I'm tired and can't think of another word for "early".)
