Our night was much better last night after changing anchorages, we slept relatively well. The day was heavily overcast when we left Cocoa shortly after 0700. It was also back to long pants and jackets, although no long johns! However by noon the sun was out with white puffy clouds but the temp remained cool with the wind.

We had strong winds from the N and NE as predicted and the ICW was rough relating to the waves. Fortunately both were from behind so we had a very comfortable motor sail today, averaging 6.5 to 7 kts. Our destination was the Vero Beach anchorage. However the anchorage was not adequate for the predicted winds and the marina was broadcasting over the radio that they were full and were rafting boats on the mooring balls! Not our cup of tea. Apparently however that is a normal procedure for them. As it was 1400 and we still had the winds and waves helping us from behind, we pushed on to Fort Pierce another 13 or so sm south. We set anchor at 1630 in Faber Cove, hopefully giving us protection from the winds that are supposed to blow again tonight. Boy it has been windy the last couple of days/nights and it is supposed to continue tonight and again tomorrow, 20 to 25+ kts.

Old boats in Fort Pierce become billboards.

Okay, the videos are losing their quality . . . basically they show our anchorage in Faber Cove.

In English.

En espanol.

We're tucked in quite nicely so hopefully it will be an uneventful night. Tomorrow we are moving again - Lake Worth here we come!
