Our computer had been giving us grief lately, totally shutting down during some programs. Yesterday while we were out we stopped in at a computer shop and arranged to bring it in first thing this morning. We had breakfast, dinghied to shore, and walked the 1/2 mile to the shop by 0900 (after getting very little sleep last night, that was quite the feat!) We left the computer there, walked to Starbucks for a coffee/tea and read the newspaper. By 1100 we knew the diagnosis of the computer and as it was fixable agreed to have it repaired and would return at 1700 to pick it up.
We bought some engine oil for CS'ta Time and hit a few more shops on the way back to the boat. Lunch was in the cockpit and after consulting Wind Alert decided to change anchorages as the winds were supposed to increase again tonight and blow from the N to NE again. Jorge did not want another sleepless night. We weighed anchor and move to the south side of the bridge (going in the right direction again) and anchored in a more protected area (we hope).
After reanchoring, we dinghied into Cocoa Village, an area with specialty and antique shops and today - a farmer's market! More groceries.
Not a good day for this guy.
Cocoa Village.
Me in Cocoa Village.
My new T-shirt.
We dinghied to the north side of the bridge, walked the 1/2 miles to get the computer and back, dinghied to the south side of the bridge, put the dinghy up on the davits (preparing to leave Cocoa tomorrow) and then had supper. It was a full day needless to say. No wonder we only get one job accomplished per day - today was getting the computer fixed and I might add - so far so good.
We are planning on leaving Cocoa tomorrow. The winds are supposed to be strong and the ICW waters rough so not sure how far we will travel but if things aren't too bad Vero Beach is the destination point.
