Jorge drove Rett and Bob to the boat show Thursday morning in the rain. Bob had left us his car keys so after lunch we met Lynn and Sally and did some shopping. Actually Lynn had bought a generator and some new jerry cans so we drove him to pick them up. Then Sally and I did some groceries, it was more like pick up pop and bottled water as those were heavy items and it made more sense to buy them while we had easy transportation back to the boat.

Rett and Bob finished the boat show around 1800 and called for a ride. We had drinks and appetizers when they got back and then a late dinner aboard CS'ta Time. It felt just like being in HYC with Rett and Bob here. We made plans for Friday and then turned in.
Unfortunately the rainy weather continued on Friday. The temp felt a bit warmer than Thursday though, I think it was just the wind was less. We took the dinghy to the boat show on Friday to show Rett and Bob Spa Creek and the Annapolis harbour. We went our own way during the show but met up and had lunch at a cute '50s style diner then back to the show for the afternoon. As arranged, we again met Rett and Bob after the show and dinghied back to the boat. Before going out for dinner, we stopped for drinks and appetizers at Lynn and Sally's boat then off to Mike's Crab House. We ordered 2 dozen crabs and a bottle of wine. Dinner was a long, slow process and a lot of work. Eating crab is definitely a social event! But it was a wonderful albeit late evening.

What was left of the 2 dozen crabs. Paper was placed on the table, crabs taken from the platter, placed, cracked and eaten right from there.
Rett not quite believing Jorge as he calculated out how many pounds of crab she ate.

Jorge and I wanted to hear a weather seminar at the boat show unfortunately so did a lot of other people. By the time we got there, it was fully booked. Gilbert and Diana had the same problem. They had come in from DC for the show and we got together for a visit late in the afternoon. I don't know where the time went but the two days at the show went by very quickly. Luckily we scored free admission coupons for the next two days from a couple of exhibitors!
You quickly become humble down here especially when one of the sailboats brought in for the boat show had a beam wider than the length of your boat! It was a 90' catamaran with a 38' beam on charter by Cruising World - not open to the public. Too bad. (P.S. cost to charter the boat for one week - $45,000.00, but it does come with crew and an executive chef.)
This picture does not do justice to the 90' cat.
The rain continued off and on all day and evening, apparently we are supposed to see some sun on Monday.
