BB Crabback Restaurant where we celebrated our 1st anniversary since leaving HYC.

Note the ladder in the middle of the picture, that's what we climbed to enter the restaurant. We could have entered via the street but we had to park a dinghy, not a car.

We took part in Friday Burger Day as usual. After lunch we took the local bus to CK Superstore to replenish our declining beer stock. I'm not sure what the problem was but boy the usual 10 minute bus ride seemed to take 30 minutes. Of course this bus did not have air, and it was stop and go traffic with no breeze. We almost had a meltdown inside the bus! We successfully bought our supply including some wine and the ride back to St. George was the usual time. We had a drink with Dave at GYC before heading back to the boat for dinner and a movie in the evening.

The internet was really slow this morning so we packed the computer up and went to GYC. Carnival was in full swing, lots of people in a variety of outfits (most outfits barely there), drinks and loud music! By the way, the music played here is "soca" and like "rock" comes in varying degrees. You Tube has some videos on it, if one is so inclined to find out more about it.

GYC is having another party tomorrow afternoon with more music and food for a fee. Today is "a la carte", just come eat, drink and party! The Rhum Runner was also at GYC picking up people for an afternoon of soca on the water.

Our anchorage has increased from the normal 25 - 30 boats to well over 60.

St. George is going to rock, well soca, until and including Tuesday!

We decided not to partake in the festivities at GYC this afternoon. We opted for a cruisers' potluck at the Port Louis Marina beach. We arrived around 1730, after a walk along Grand Anse beach during the afternoon.

The potluck.

We left the beach around 2000, getting to the boat just as the heavens opened up. We had quite the thunder and lightening storm! Unfortunately the storm and rain didn't deter the regular Sunday music from the beach, which carried on ALL night long, in preparation for Carnival starting early tomorrow morning.
