Some pictures from yesterday. The internet was slow at the restaurant and the captain was getting impatient.

Entering the waters of the BVI.

Approaching Road Town, Tortola, BVI.

We decided to leave Road Town this morning and make our way to The Bitter End in Gorda Sound. We left at 0900, sailed and motorsailed. Unfortunately we do not have the time to spend enjoying these wonderful sailing waters. Hopefully on the way back north we can spend a week or so here.

The Baths (some 50+ boats on mooring balls.)

We arrived at The Bitter End Yacht Club at 1300. The trip here was quite good, winds 9 to 15 kts and seas about 2'. Lots of boat traffic! We refuelled and briefly checked the weather. We were rushed out of the fuel docks as there was a line up. We anchored and took the dinghy to shore. After careful analysis of the weather situation, we decided early tomorrow morning was a go. It seems the wind is always from the east and always 10 to 15 kts (if not more). After the next day or two the winds will still be from the east but blowing to 30 kts. We'll take our chances with tomorrow's winds!

I really did not expect The Bitter End to be what it is. It is a gorgeous resort, with restaurants, boutiques, well manicured grounds and of course lots and lots of anchored/moored boats. It is really quite impressive.
